Location
The property is located in Coombe Valley, 2km from the village of Kilkhamptom and 3km from National Trust Duckpool and Sandymouth beaches.
There are many things to do in the area, such as horse-riding, coastal or wood walking, surfing, go-karting and wakeboarding. There is also the local town of Bude 8km away with many restaurants and shops. Kilkhampton has a supermarket, pubs, a butcher and art gallery. Visit the local farm to get fresh farm eggs or the farmshop in Widemouth to get fresh fish and sourdough bread.
The walk down to Duckpool is 2 miles and takes you through farmland and woods to reach the beautiful coastline. From here you can also walk over the cliffs to Sandymouth, Northcott, Crooklets and Bude. You can also drive down to Duckpool and walk up the cliff to watch the sunset over the sea.
There is a circular walk from the house that is around 8km that takes you through gorgeous woodlands and rivers. You can buy free-range eggs from one of the local farmers along the path.

Other areas to visit include St Nectans Glen, a beautiful walk through woodlands to a waterfall, or visit Clovelly, a picturesque fishing village. From Clovelly, you can depart from the harbour over to Lundy Island where you can see lots of puffins and even dive with seals! Other areas to visit include Tintagel or Boscastle where you can walk up to the ancient ruins or visit the museum of witchcraft.
